QMI has been designing, developing and selling instruments since the 1960's. They aim at supplying something different. Their objective has always been to provide reliable, innovative, proven equipment giving value to the user.

In the sixties they started with bimetallic thermometers of a Swiss manufacture. The range included a thermometer specially designed to withstand the rigors of working on a diesel engine. QMI continued to sell these until recently. Kari-Finn float level switches and other equipment joined the range in 1975.

The development of QMI Multiplex oil mist monitoring instruments began in the early 1980's. This is a revolutionary way of measuring oil mist.

In 1985 they added Temperature Technology chart recorders to their list. They are used in many situations and particularly in laboratories and in the food industry. The latest product in their range is Marinfloc water and waste treatment equipment. These products are again tried and tested and more than meet the current and coming stringent requirements of the IMO regulations.
