The SMART Sense Viscosity System has been designed to monitor oil viscosity and temperature accurately at all times to prevent engine wear and higher emissions attributable to feeding through FUEL of the wrong viscosity.
The technique used in the SMART Sense sets it apart from other viscometer’s as it incorporates an improved method of using
the vibrating rod at resonance frequency. The technique is Electro Magnetic which is far more robust than other piezo electric methods. Through this new principle it is now possible to measure accurately viscosity and temperature without frequent calibration or maintenance. The SMART Sense Viscosity System is designed for full flow, inline installation in Heavy Fuel Oil and Marine Distillate applications allowing for improved accuracy at lower viscosity when switching between HFO and Marine Distillate.
SMART Sense Viscosity System comprises of an oscillating Viscosity Probe which is connected to the Viscosity Controller Module via a 5m cable.
SMART Sense Viscosity Probe Housing has standard flanges for easy installation and retro-fitting against other makers probes.
SMART Sense Viscosity Controller electronics are housed in a robust die-cast enclosure that can withstand the harshest environments in marine applications.
SMART Sense PID Module consists of two separate controllers for displaying Viscocity and Temperature allowing for redundancy in the case of failure. These are attached to a aluminium anodised plate for fitting into the customer console.
Smart Cell MEPC 107: The Rivertrace “Smart Cell” oil content monitor meets the requirements of MEPC 107 (49) for monitoring of 3 oil types: Fuel, Diesel and Emulsions. By utilising the “SmartCell” Detector Array Technology, technology developed by Rivertrace, the OCM analyses all three oil types simultaneously without the need for re-calibration.
Smart 50M Boiler condensate / Cooling water monitor: Multiple optical sensors measures the combination of light absorbed and scattered by oil droplets in the sample stream. The sensor signals are read by a microprocessor which uses sophisticated algorithms to determine the concentration of oil and solids in the stream. The oil concentration is displayed on an alpha numeric display. A microprocessor drives a 4-20 mA current loop output which represents the concentration of oil. Two volt free alarms are driven when the oil concentration exceeds the set points. An Autoclean system is included to ensure the accuracy of the optical measuring system is maintained over extended periods of operation. The microprocessor also measures various other parameters to determine the condition of the system to ensure that accuracy is maintained over time and various environmental conditions. A log of alarms and faults are stored on the system for maintenance purposes.
