A 2-way control valve is a valve by which a liquid content flows through port A and flows out through port B. Basically said, a 2-way control valve has one inlet and one outlet port. That’s what makes it a 2-way valve. For more information on the working of valve, check out our blog on what is a temperature control valve explained.
2-way valves are used in different types of applications. This could be used in a ‘simple’ on/off application or a more complex one where a variable flow runs through the ports of the valve. The 2-way valve you need depends on the amount of flow, the need for accuracy, whether it should be a shut-off, the fluid temperature running through the valve and the pressure on the valve.
