Pressure gauge cock

A pressure gauge cock is designed to either vent the connected pressure gauge according to the position of the handle (venting position), i.e. put it into a pressure-free state, or to vent the pressure measuring instrument under pressure (operating position) or to let the medium escape (blow position).

How a pressure gauge cock works

Pressure gauge cocks serve multiple functions. Besides protecting the system against (over)pressure, they can isolate the pressure gauge from the pressure medium and prolong the service life of the gauge when the meter endures continually pulsating pressure.

Pressure gauge snubber

A pressure gauge snubber is adjustable and can thus be adapted separately to the respective operating conditions. A readjustment during operation, if required, is possible at any time.

The pulsations and pressure surges in the medium, occurring e.g. in compressors, steam engines, hydraulic presses, tensile testing machines etc., are compensated mainly by the pressure gauge snubber. Snubbers ensure a considerably prolonged service life of the pressure measuring instruments and improve the reading accuracy of pressure gauges.

Gauge protectors

Gauge Protectors are used to protecting pressure-sensing instruments against damage, loss of accuracy, and/or rupture in the event of excessive system pressure. The piston assembly works against an adjustable spring. The piston assembly contains a sealing mechanism to isolate system pressure from the instrument.
