Ensure repeatability, safety and accuracy with regular calibration and official certification
Torque wrenches are used in a wide range of industries like aviation, offshore, nuclear, (process)industry and the maritime industry. The calibration of torque wrenches is essential to ensure the continuity of your production process. No matter if it is a small, or large torque wrenches up to 3150 Nm (2.323 lbf.ft) torque. Torque wrenches must work within strict tolerances to provide the right force to tighten bolts or nuts as required. A properly calibrated wrench will accurately measure torque, allowing a fastener to be tightened with the correct tension and preventing mutual connection failures. An excessive deviation can result in less reliable or vulnerable bolt connections.
All torque wrenches, no matter if it’s a digital torque wrench, click torque wrench, hydraulic torque wrench etc. needs to be calibrated at least once a year or after every 5.000 cycles (whichever occurs first) to meet ISO 6789 regulations. Modern international standards for torque wrenches are based upon ISO 6789-1:2017 and 6789-2:2017. Where the first parts speak mostly about the production side of wrenches, the second part describes the given rules for calibration and certification of torque wrenches. ISO grants 4% to 6% over or below the torque indicated by a torque wrench’s setting in testing. However, anything outside of those barriers is considered out of compliance. Assessing whether a torque tool is out of calibration requires torque analyzers and sensors. At GMS Instruments we are specialised in torque wrench calibration of 20 Nm up to 3150 Nm.
Early 2020 we have expanded our torque wrench calibration service by renewing our test bench in partnership with Gedore. By partnering with Gedore regarding the torque wrench calibration, we provide by every tested and calibrated wrench a test certificated which matches international standards. With the high precision and accuracy (within ± 1%, ± 1 digit of readable value) Gedore calibration bench, we are specialist in the calibration of a.o. left and right turning wrenches:
GMS Instruments calibrates and certificates various types of torque wrenches such as digital torque wrenches, hydraulic torque wrenches, etc. with the best calibration tools available today. That’s why we have installed an all-new Gedore torque wrench calibration and certification bench to guarantee quality after calibration in 2020. Our calibration and certification are according to ISO 6789 standards.
With the 360° Product Care service, we offer an all-in-one solution for our customers in terms of service.
To ensure that your equipment is functioning properly, it is essential that it is regularly tested and calibrated. After calibration, the instrument receives a retraceable calibration and certification report.
We have original spare parts on stock for several manufacturers. If not in stock we have a supply network at hand to deliver the parts swiftly.
We're allways open to provide you with the best solution
